Terengganu retains position as top STPM performer

KUALA TERENGGANU: Terengganu has retained its position as the top STPM performer nationwide for the second consecutive year with a total of 15 STPM candidates scoring a CGPA of 4.00.

State Education Department director Shafruddin Ali Hussin said the total was an improvement over the 12 candidates who obtained a CGPA of 4.00 in 2014.

He said SMK Putra in Jerteh, Besut, emerged as the overall top school in Terengganu , obtained a Cummulative Grade Average Minimum (CGAM) of 3.18.

"We are happy to announce that another 11 schools in the state have recorded a CGAM of between 3.15 and 3.00," he told reporters at the Department's Head Office in Kuala Terengganu today.

Shafruddin said out of 1,914 STPM candidates in 2015, a total of 864 candidates or 45.24 per cent managed to get a CGAM of 3.00 and above," he said.
