KUALA LUMPUR: The government aims to build one million affordable homes for the people by 2018.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said affordable housing was one of the promises made by Barisan Nasional.
Najib via his Twitter account today, had shared an image of the current status on the implementation of affordable housing in Malaysia.
The prime minister said a total of 183,755 units have been fully constructed, while 214,011 were still in construction and 309,571 units were in various planning stages.
He tweeted via his official handle (@NajibRazak) and said: "The latest status on one of the promises made by BN in its manifesto. We are on the right track but we need to double our efforts together."
