KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit eased against the US dollar in the early session today, tracking a weaker oil market overnight, a dealer said.
As of 9.06am, the domestic unit eased to 3.9000/9060 against the greenback from yesterday’s close at 3.8810/8900.
The ringgit also traded lower against other major currencies.
It declined against the British pound at 5.5910/6020 from 5.5545/5689 on Thursday and was lower against the euro at 4.4062/4146 from 4.3820/3938 yesterday.
The local unit eased against the Singapore dollar at 2.8919/8974 from Thursday’s 2.8812/8898 and went down against the yen at 3.5669/5733 from 3.5349/5447. -- Bernama
