(Football) Kedah goalie Farhan's heroics hold JDT to a draw in Alor Star

KUALA LUMPUR: Kedah goalkeeper Farhan Abu Bakar proved a stumbling block for Johor Darul Ta'zim as the champions were prevented from reclaiming top spot in the Super League following a 1-1 draw in Alor Star tonight.

Farhan single-handedly provided the heroics to earn Kedah a point while Darul Ta'zim could only draw level with leaders Felda United on 21 points but trail on goal difference and having played a game more.

Farhan denied Darul Ta'zim forwards Juan Martin Lucero and Jorge Pereyra Diaz on at least six occassions after Baddrol Bakhtiar put the home team ahead in the second minute.

But Farhan was beaten from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage time by Lucero after Diaz was felled in the box by defender Bang Seung-hyun.

Felda have an opportunity to put some distance on Darul Ta'zim when they play Perak in Ipoh on Sunday.
