Yuna to sing with Grammy winner Lenny Kravitz in Rio Olympics campaign [VIDEO]

KUALA LUMPUR: US-based singer-songwriter Yunalis Zarai expressed her delight for being part of the global promotional campaign for the Rio 2016 Olympics.

The 29-year-old talented artiste is one of five international singers performing the 2016 Olympics promotional tune, The Fire. The others are Grammy winner Lenny Kravitz from the US, Diogo Nogueira from Brazil, Nneka from Nigeria and Corrine Bailey Rae from the UK.

Yuna in her Facebook posting recently said she felt honoured to be part of the campaign and could not wait to work with her fellow singers on the tune, produced by Questlove.

“They are lighting the Olympic flame. I’m so honoured to be a part of the campaign. The Fire is re-recorded with Lenny, Diogo, Nneka, Corrine and yours truly! It was so much fun working with everyone,” said Yuna.

Meanwhile, Yuna who has recorded songs for International Women’s Day and Visit Malaysia Year 2014, is featured in this month’s issue of the US entertainment magazine Billboard.

Her recent single, the soulful ballad Crush, featuring Usher, is currently at No. 18 at the Billboard Adult R&B Songs after three weeks on the chart.
