KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened lower against the US dollar, pressured by lack of demand.
At 9.04 am, the local note stood at 3.9700/9750 against the US dollar from 3.9120/9180 on Tuesday.
The local note weakened against other currencies.
It was lower against the Singapore dollar at 2.9379/9420 from Tuesday’s 2.9183/9248 and depreciated against the yen to 3.7246/7303 from 3.6826/6900 previously.
It eased against the euro to 4.5671/5744 from 4.5121/5206 on Tuesday and decreased against the British pound to 5.7748/7840 from 5.7377/7489 yesterday.--BERNAMA
