KUCHING: The Election Commission (EC) will not interfere with any campaigns carried out throughout the campaigning period for the 11th state election.
Its chairman Datuk Seri Mohd Hashim Abdullah said the commission would only monitor the voting process on polling day.
"EC will not interfere with any campaigns conducted by the candidates.
"Our job is to monitor the voting process, so that it goes smoothly on May 7," said Hashim after making a visit on the preparations for the state election for Batu Kitang constituency at Padawan Municipal Council here, today.
He added that preparations for polling day was 100 percent complete.
