GEORGE TOWN: A 28-year-old man from Penang was gunned down while he was on his motorcycle in Hatyai, Thailand today.
The victim, Mohd Nizam Ahmad Basrah, was on his motorcycle when an unknown man intercepted him and fired at close range in the 3.30am incident, killing him instantly.
A police source from the Hatyai district said the victim was heading towards a hotel in the town area when the incident occurred.
"He was shot at least twice on his chest and buttocks in Jalan Phadungpakdee," the spokesman said.
