Little Mix slays in its first ever Malaysian performance [VIDEO]

KUALA LUMPUR: One of the UK's biggest girl groups, Little Mix, gave the audience a show-stopping performance at KL Live in Jalan Sultan Ismail tonight.

The group, comprising Jade Thirlwall, 23, Perrie Edwards, 22, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 24, and Jesy Nelson 25, are in town for the Southeast Asian leg of their The Get Weird Tour.

"Tonight is all about you (the fans), so let your hair down and have fun!," said Perrie, before breaking into their catchy number, Move.

Halfway through the 90-minute show, Jesy injured herself while performing, and she was seen limping as she headed towards the backstage.

But the rest soldiered on even though they were one member down. They continued to give the audience a super energetic performance throughout the concert.

In Weird People, the group got everyone on their feet, jumping and singing along to the fast-paced music.

"Kuala Lumpur is our best stop so far! You know every word to our songs. Perhaps we should all come back," teased Perrie before kicking off the final song for the night, Black Magic.

The girls had initially auditioned for the eighth season of the X-Factor talent series in 2011 as soloists. It was only later that they were put together in a group and took part in the show under the Groups category.

Under the guidance of London-based singer-songwriter Tulisa Contostavlos, the girls eventually went on to win the competition.

Little Mix has sold over 7.5 million records worldwide, topping music charts in eight countries including Malaysia.

Last year, the group won Breakout Artiste of the Year at the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles, in the US.

Two years after their sophomore album, Salute, the group is now back with a brand new studio album, Get Weird.

Early this year, Little Mix was nominated for two BRIT Awards -- British Artiste Video Of The Year and British Single -- for their single Black Magic, taken off its Get Weird album.
