Situation back to normal at KLIA

SEPANG: The situation at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) has returned to normal as one of its aerotrains is now up and running.

Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB), however said, bus services for passengers would be in place until all the aerotrains have resumed normal operations.

A check at KLIA showed smoother passenger movement at the departure area at about 10.30am today.

A passenger who requested anonymity, said the technical issues with the aerotrains had caused chaos at the departure areas this morning as passengers jostled to make their way to the bus areas.

"Although I was not involved, I saw the chaos which lasted for an hour," she said, adding that even the escalators were not working this morning.

Hundreds of passengers were left fuming this morning after the aerotrain services shut down. MAHB said this was due to "corrective maintenance."
