KUALA LUMPUR: For six hours on Friday, a portion of the Cheras-Kajang Highway will be totally closed to traffic in order to facilitate the installation of the Sri Raya MRT Station pedestrian link bridge.
MMC Gamuda, in a statement today, said the affected stretches, which are KM13.2 –KM 14.2 (Kajang-bound) and KM15.4-14.2(KL-bound), will be closed from 11pm on June 3 to 5am on June 4.
This closure will affect motorists on both Kuala Lumpur and Kajang-bound routes.
During this closure, motorists from Kuala Lumpur heading to Kajang will be diverted out Exit 703 (Telekom Interchange) slip road before proceeding to re-enter the Cheras–Kajang Highway by going across Jalan Hulu Langat.
Motorists from Kajang heading to Kuala Lumpur will also be diverted out Exit 703 (Telekom Interchange) slip road before joining back the Cheras–Kajang Highway by going across Jalan Hulu Langat.
Motorists from Taman Kota Cheras heading to Kajang and Kuala Lumpur will not be diverted. Motorist from Kuala Lumpur heading to Taman Kota Cheras will not be diverted either.
