KUALA LUMPUR: LEE Chong Wei barely broke a sweat as he reached the semi-final of the Indonesia Open today.
Chong Wei, who is on course for a sixth Indonesia Open title, lead 21-16, 9-2 before his opponent Wang Zhengming of China retired due to an injury in the quarter-finals at the Istora Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta.
The 34-year-old Malaysian No 1 will play Indonesia's Ihsan Maulana Mustofa next for a place in Sunday's final.
Also through to the last four stage were women's doubles Vivian Hoo Kah Mun-Woon Khe Wei who saw off Indonesia's Anggia Shitta Awanda-Mahadewi Istirani Ni Ketut 21-14, 21-19.
Vivian-Khe Wei, who have yet to win an Open title since the Indonesia GP in 2011, will take on third seeds Tang Yuanting-Yu Yang of China next.
It was, however, the end of the road for men's doubles Goh V Shem-Tan Wee Kiong who lost 21-18, 21-17 to China's Chai Biao-Hong Wei.
