KUALA LUMPUR: The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar who was admitted to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) recently due to a viral infection, was discharged this morning.
A brief statement was posted on the Johor ruler’s Facebook profile, announcing the news.
The statement said the Sultan Ibrahim has “recovered well and is expected to resume his full royal schedule soon.”
“The ruler gives thanks for all the prayers and good wishes offered for his recovery,” read the statement.
Last Friday, the beloved and hugely popular ruler of the southern state was admitted to the HSA.
He was reported to have suffered a viral infections and gastritis.
