KUALA LUMPUR: 1MDB says it will file a robust response to the Request for Arbitration (RFA) on or before the deadline of July 11, 2016 as stipulated by the London Court of International Arbitration.

In a statement, IMDB said it is confident of its legal position and has appointed Weil Gotshal & Manges (Weil Gotshal) to represent it in the dispute with International Petroleum Investment Co (IPIC).

“Weil Gotshal is a globally renowned, top-tier law firm, specialising in, among others, international litigation,” said the strategic investment company.

1MDB said it was today served with a RFA dated June 13, 2016 by IPIC and Aabar Investments PJS (Aabar) in relation to its ongoing dispute with IPIC. -- Bernama
