'Standing room only' in Penang sessions court for Guan Eng proceedings

GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Sessions Court, where Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng is expected to be charged, is already packed to the brim.

The court started filling up with media personnel, DAP supporters and Special Branch officers as early as 7.45am.

Many were seen standing in the courtroom waiting for the proceedings to begin, while those unable to secure elbow room inside were left waiting outside the courtroom.

The roads surrounding the court building has been cordoned off by the police.

Lim and businesswoman Phang Li Khoon is expected to be charged for alleged corruption at 10am.
