REMBAU: Veteran actor Datuk Abdul Aziz Singah, 75, who died of prostate cancer yesterday, was laid to rest at the Kampung Bongek Muslim Cemetery, here today.
Aziz passed away surrounded by his family members at his home in Bandar Putra Permai, Seri Kembangan, around 11pm yesterday.
He is survived by wife Datin Zunita Mohamed and three sons.
About 100 family members and friends bade their farewell to the artiste at his family burial plot.
Aziz was the president of Persatuan Seniman Malaysia (Seniman), an umbrella body advocating the rights of artistes.
Among his notable movies were Sate, Maria Mariana, Impian and Kemarau Cinta.
