PUTRAJAYA: DAP lawmaker Nga Kor Ming will be investigated under Section 298 of the Penal Code and the Sedition Act for allegedly posting an insensitive Hari Raya Aidilfitri message on his Facebook page recently.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said police would be launching an investigation on the posting after receiving several police reports against Nga.
“We have launched an investigation into the matter (and Nga) will be investigated under Section 298 of the Penal Code and the Sedition Act.
“I urge everyone to be careful and refrain from making such sensitive statements,” Khalid told reporters after attending Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s Hari Raya open house event here today.
