Drive cautiously and don't misuse emergency lane: Najib

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has advised the people returning to the federal capital from their hometowns after the Aidilfitri holidays to drive carefully and comply with the road regulations.

The Prime Minister also wanted the people not to misuse the emergency lane while driving.

“Many will begin or on the way back to the federal capital and workplace today after celebrating Hari Raya in the village last week.

“Drive with caution, respect the road regulations and don’t misuse the emergency lane. I pray for a smooth and safe journey, Insya-Allah,” he said in his posting on his Facebook and Twitter accounts today.

The public, especially city residents, were now returning to the federal capital from their hometowns after celebrating Aidilfitri on Wednesday.

The traffic flow in several highways were also reported to be congested, among them, at the North-South Highway from Kuala Kangsar heading to Simpang Pulai which was congested for 30 kilometres as at 1.30 pm today.
