KUALA KEDAH: All ferry trips to and from the Kuala Kedah and Kuah Terminals in Langkawi beginning 4.30pm today were cancelled due to strong winds and big waves.
According to a spokesman for the ferry operator, Langkawi Ferry Line Venture Sdn Bhd (LFLVSB), they were forced to cancel a total of six ferry trips today due to bad weather.
"We had to cancel the trips from Kuala Kedah to Kuah scheduled at 4.30pm, 6pm and 7pm as well as the trips from Kuah to Kuala Kedah scheduled at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm.
"All those affected by the cancellations may claim for a full refund at the ticket counter at both terminals.
"Those who wish to continue their journey to Langkawi would be able to do so via the Kuala Perlis Terminal which is operating as usual," he said.
The spokesman said that about 100 people were affected by the ferry cancellations at the Kuala Kedah ferry terminal.
