KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak joined thousands of people at Wanita Umno's Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house held at the Putra World Trade Centre here, today.
Najib, who is also Umno president, was clad in a purple baju Melayu and accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor. Also present were Deputy Prime Minister and Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi; Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein; and Wanita Umno chief Tan Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, among others.
Visitors from all walks of life were dressed in their best Hari Raya outfit and feted with an array of cuisines, as well as performances from local artistes.
A group of Wanita Umno leaders also performed a Chinese classic, "Tian Mi Mi", while dancing the 'poco-poco'.
At the event, Najib also presented donations amounting to RM2,000 to 15 veteran Wanita Barisan Nasional leaders for their services to the people.
