PTPTN ready to assist visitors at MyRumah Property Showcase

JOHOR BARU: The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) is making its first appearance at the New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd MyRumah Property Showcase this weekend.

The corporation is one of the 14 exhibitors and sponsors for the showcase at Komtar JBBC here, which runs until Sunday.

PTPTN deputy chief executive officer (policy and operations) Mastura Mohd Khalid said a counter has been set up at the MyRumah event to enable the public to solve problems related to study loan repayments and to seek consultation.

Such issues usually crop up when potential house buyers want to purchase homes as some individuals have a record under the Central Credit Reference Information System (CCRIS).

"The counter offers structuring and re-scheduling services for PTPTN loans. We can look into the installments and account balances to adjust them according to a student's needs.

"For example, we offer repayment plans that will first look at whether a person could set aside 5 to 8 per cent of their monthly salary for loan repayment.

"There are also options to extend loan repayment periods until the borrower is aged 60," said Mastura.

The MyRumah Property Showcase is held in collaboration with the Andaman Group and is held at Komtar JBCC's ground floor centre court and ground floor southern wing (near Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf).

The three-day showcase is open from 10am to 10pm. Admission is free.
