Muhyiddin to join hands with Opposition

SUBANG JAYA: Former Umno deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will join hands with the Opposition and go on a nationwide tour to explain the controversy surrounding 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).

Muhyiddin, who was at a special press conference with PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, said he supported the plans to go on a roadshow and provide explanations to the people.

"This has to be explained and the people must know of the actual situation in simple and easy to understand language.

"I support this initiative and believe that efforts to do this should be increased," he said.

However, when asked whether he would join PKR, he said the matter was secondary.

"If I'm not a member of this party, I would still support this initiative. Like what Dr Wan Azizah said, all quarters should be a part of this initiative and we should focus on that," he added.
