Muhyiddin's involvement in PKR's 1MDB roadshow a 'good development', says Azmin

SHAH ALAM: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's involvement with PKR on its 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) roadshow has been described as a "good development", even if the former deputy prime minister has not committed to joining the party.

PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali said he sees Muhyiddin's participation in the roadshow to explain the 1MDB issue to the masses in rural areas, as an expansion of the Opposition's base.

"It is okay (if Muhyiddin has not decided on joining PKR). That is his decision. What is important is that we cooperate with all political parties, individuals and civil societies that are committed to the reform agenda.

"Even if he (Muhyiddin) does not belong to any party for now, it doesn't matter.

"It is our duty as political leaders in PKR, Pakatan Harapan and also civil societies including Muhyiddin's team to work together to form a formidable force to explain to the rakyat, especially in the rural areas. 1MDB is a very technical subject; if it is not translated into easier language, people cannot understand," said Azmin today.

Azmin said the translation of the report into simpler terms and layman language to enable easier understanding of the 1MDB issue is the pipeline.
