KUALA LUMPUR: A 2.5 magnitude earthquake was detected in Ranau, Sabah at 9.51am today.
According to the Meteorology Department, the epicentre was at 5.9 degrees north and 116.6 degrees east, 16km southwest from Ranau.
The tremor was felt in Ranau and did not pose any tsunami threat. -- BERNAMA
