Shining a light on TNB's good service

I REFER to NST’s Viewpoint, “Common courtesies are becoming rare” (NST, Aug 7).

The writer, A. Jalil Hamid, had highlighted good points.

Yes, we have the good and bad in society, people and organisations. Having said that, I hope we have more of the good and less of the bad.

This newspaper, for instance, is a good and caring newspaper that wants more good to be done in this nation.

There are many people and the government, as well as private agencies and organisations that have made us happy and we should appreciate their good deeds.

Take, for example, service providers. Their efficiency, which we take for granted, must be appreciated.

One service provider that is worthy of mention is Tenaga Nasional Bhd.

I live near a road leading to a surau that’s 150m from my house.

Although there are streetlights in the area, sometimes they are not turned on.

Last Monday, I called TNB’s Careline at 6.45pm to point out the problem. A few minutes later, TNB technicians came.

It was raining, with flashes of lightning. Yet, the men still repaired the lights.

Thank you, Tenaga Nasional, for the prompt service.

Such good service must be highlighted.

I wish other service providers would emulate TNB’s commitment to providing good services to customers. Syabas, Tenaga Nasional.
