Putrajaya schoolboy death: Victim laid to rest at Presint 20 cemetery

PUTRAJAYA: Fifteen-year-old Azim Hakimi Abu Shuja, who fell to his death at a school here today, was laid to rest at the Presint 20 Muslim cemetery today.

More than 150 friends and family members gathered at the cemetery to pay their last respects.

The body was brought to the mosque here for the final rites before he was buried at about 5.20pm.

Meanwhile, police have classified the Form Three student's death as sudden death.

Putrajaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Rosly Hassan said police have recorded statements from the victim's classmates.

Based on preliminary investigation, police have ruled out criminal elements behind his death.

Azim is believed to have been trying to help a classmate just before the incident.

It was learnt that another schoolmate had thrown out a schoolbag belonging to Azim's friend out to the corridor.

It is learnt that as Azim went out to the corridor to retrieve the bag, he lost his balance and fell from the third floor to his death.
