KUALA LUMPUR: If you have no idea where to go for that Merdeka countdown, head to Resorts World Genting for an air of festivity, with countdown parties at two of its nightspots.
One countdown spot is Cloud 9, at the Lower Lobby of Genting Grand, where the Merdeka Countdown Party can be enjoyed with good music and great company. The resident band, The Next Gen Live Band will set the tone for the evening, along with DJ Mystery, beginning 10pm.
Another nightspot holding a Merdeka Countdown Party is at Patio on Level 2, First World Plaza, that opens from 5pm to 4am.
Guests can enjoy Peri Peri Chicken, while they are entertained by live music by High Roller Band and Sky High. The bands play from 9pm to 2.45am every weekend, and on public holidays and the eve of public holidays.
