GEORGE TOWN: State police are now on the lookout for an Uber driver who allegedly robbed an Indonesian factory operator of RM2,000 in cash and valuables last Saturday in Bayan Lepas.
The victim, Yab Melva Novasia Sinaga told police that in the 5.30pm incident, the male driver took off with RM1,150, two million Rupiahs (RM613), a necklace and a handphone from her.
She had earlier used the ride-sharing app for a ride home in Batu Maung.
