Najib lays out challenges for Puteri to galvanise young women

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Razak has outlined two main tasks for its Puteri wing in empowering young women in Malaysia.

"Umno Puteri must be able to convince young women that the party is the best platform for them. I want Puteri to also prepare the young generation in facing challenges in future.

"The other side (Opposition) is only good at criticising others and playing hate politics, and they have nothing to offer. But we have a better agenda for the nation’s development," said the Prime Minister while launching the Festival of Young Women (FWM) organised by Puteri Umno at the Putra World Trade Centre today.

Present were Najib's wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim, Wanita Umno chief Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil and Puteri Umno chief Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin.
