Najib en route to Germany for bilateral meeting with Merkel

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak will be making an official visit to Germany from Sept 26 to 28.

In a statement today, the Foreign Ministry said Najib will meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel, with whom he is expected to discuss bilateral, regional and multilateral issues.

“Apart from the bilateral meeting, the Prime Minister is expected to hold a dialogue session with German business leaders, as well as meet with the Malaysian community and students in Germany.

“The visit is also expected to increase capacity-building between the two countries, especially in the field of trade and investment, vocational training and education, agriculture, science and technology, and infrastructure development,” it said.

During his visit, Najib will be accompanied by his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong, as well as senior government officials.
