MOGSEC offers good platform for O&G firms to showcase products, services

KUALA LUMPUR: Since it was first held in 2012, the Malaysian Oil and Gas Services Exhibition and Conference (MOGSEC) has become a prominent showcase for the local oil and gas (O&G) industry.

Jointly organised by Malaysian Oil and Gas Services Council (MOGSC) and Malaysian Exhibition Services Sdn Bhd, the third edition of the exhibition this year promises another excellent platform for local products and services providers to showcase their capabilities.

The event will also demonstrate the country’s strategic position as a hub for O&G services.

MOGSC first lady president Sharifah Zaida Nurlisha said MOGSEC 2016 is an excellent platform for those in the industry to update themselves on technological front as it will showcase local and home-based expertise, products and services from service providers in the oil, gas and energy industries.

Zaida said the event will also offer exhibitors and trade investors access to the Malaysian market as well as opportunities for establishing new partnerships and significantly enhancing their business.

The talks will cover topics such as current opportunities, revolutionary strategies and procedures, emerging trends as well as current critical issues faced by the industry.

Other features will include business matching platform, Malaysian Petroleum Resources Corp (MPRC) pavilion and Malaysia External Trade Development Corp International Sourcing programme.

The MPRC pavilion will bridge the oil and gas services and equipment firms with local academic institutions and the financial services industry.

To be held tomorrow (Sept 28) until Friday (Sept 30), MOGSEC 2016 will be officiated by Petronas president and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin.

The three-day event will cover the two largest halls at KLCC Convention Centre — Halls 1 and 2.

Some 10,000 trade visitors from the local gas industry are expected to attend the exhibition and the conference.

On the business matching session, Zaida said it is expected to clinch some RM350 million of trade deals.
