TV3's biggest ever Karnival Jom Heboh electrifies JB

JOHOR BARU: Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak mingled with crowds at TV3's Karnival Jom Heboh (KJH) at Angsana Johor Baru Mall here today.

Salleh, clad in a Jom Heboh t-shirt, visited and talked to staff manning the Tonton booth, before proceeding to other booths like Wow Dag, Celcom and Bananana Land, which were among the 41 booths at the event, organised by Media Prima Television Networks (MPTN).

Accompanying Salleh was MPTN chief executive officer Datuk Kamal Khalid.

Kamal said the two-day event, which began on Friday, attracts more than 450,000 visitors annually. This year’s edition is believed to be the biggest ever, with more activities compared to last year’s.

Artistes who appeared at KJH included Julia Ziegler, Aidit Noh, Nadia Brian, Redza Rosli, Lestari Sweetie Nanie and Iris Abang Sado Boleh Beres, among others.

Visitors came in droves, some arriving as early as 8am. Many were laden with plastic bags containing foodstuff selling at RM10 per bag, containing an assortment of items.

Rohani Taib, 42, a housewife and mother of three, said she and her family walked to the mall from their flat in Bandar Baru Uda.

"My children bought some Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) souvenirs, while my sister-in-law and I bought some biscuits and traditional health products," Rohani said, adding that she also visited last year's carnival.
