Probe team to investigate Nuri chopper crash in Sabah

KUALA LUMPUR: A probe team will be established to determine the cause of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Nuri helicopter crash onto SMK Balung this morning.

RMAF in a statement today, confirmed the incident and said the helicopter was undertaking a training mission.

It was reported that four students of the school were injured in the 9.35am incident.

RMAF said all 14 personnel on board were unhurt and that the helicopter had taken off from its base in Sabah at 7.35am.

It added that a rescue team was dispatched to the scene and was tasked with rescuing and retrieving the wreckage.

RMAF is evaluating the scene before any further action is taken.
