Anti-gambling ops nails 44 people at three KL shopping malls

KUALA LUMPUR: City police from the Anti-Vice, Gaming and Secret Societies Division (D7) busted seven illegal gambling dens today as part of the ongoing Ops Dadu operation.

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) deputy chief Assistant Commissioner Azman Mohd Isa said two raids were carried out at the three shopping malls in the city centre for two consecutive days.

“A total of 44 customers and operators, including foreigners from Myanmar and China, were arrested in the operation.

Police also seized 125 computers used for gambling, and cash worth RM5,006.

The case is being investigated under section 4B (a) of the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953.
