KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak arrived at Parliament House at 3.44pm today to table the 2017 Budget in the Dewan Rakyat.
Carrying a black bag, Najib, who is also Finance Minister, was calm and cheerful as he walked into the Lower House of Parliament.
Najib, who was clad in a pink Baju Melayu", showed off the bag to photographers who had been awaiting his arrival at Parliament House from 2pm.
Yesterday (Thursday) Najib had said that the 2017 Budget would be a ‘commitment budget.’
He said the government is committed in ensuring that the economic fundamentals of the nation remain resilient and strong.
This includes the policy on deficit targets spurring economic activity, and the long-term health of the financial system.
