KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak paid tribute to former Pas spiritual leader the late Datuk Dr Haron Din who died in the United States last month due to heart complications.
Haron, who passed away on Sept 16, was conferred the Maal Hijrah Special Award earlier this month for his contributions in religion and Islamic medicinal practice. The Islamic scholar was the founder of the Darussyifa' Treatment Centre that offers healing through the use of verses from the Quran.
Najib had said Haron was an “Islamic leader” who had contributed much to the country.
