Tajuddin: Dr M "had a hand" in Opposition MPs walkout

IPOH: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad “had a hand” in the walkout staged by the Opposition MPs during the tabling of Budget 2017 by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Deputy Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman this was because Dr Mahathir has been working with the Opposition to oust Najib.

Tajuddin was commenting on blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin’s allegation that the former prime minister was involved with the walkout which was criticised by some quarters including politicians.

“We don’t need Raja Petra to tell us that. I can tell you that he is involved either directly or indirectly as he has already been working with the Opposition. How can they (MPs) deny the fact that the walkout was not about protesting the budget but rather against Najib?

“If they are not happy with the budget they should have (at least) waited for its tabling to finish and do the protest elsewhere. Their action was an insult to the intelligence of the people.

“They could not accept the budget that was a comprehensive one. For the ministry, for instance, attention was given to farmers, fishermen as well as (the) huge allocation to young agropreneurs,” he told reporters after attending an event organised by Taj International College earlier.
