TELUK INTAN: K. Logeswaran, who died in the Hospital Sultanah Aminah fire in Johor yesterday, will be cremated at his hometown in the Rubana Estate, here today.
His sister, K. Vikneswary, 26, said the ceremony would be held at 2pm.
"We are preparing his body for the religious rites before cremation," she said, adding that she could not believe it when received news of the passing of her brother.
She said her brother had just started working in Singapore for 13 days.
"He was on his way back to our hometown when he met with an accident in Johor. Since then, he had been receiving treatment at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital," she said.
Logeswaran was scheduled to undergo surgery in a week, and after that, would have been on the road to recovery.
He was among six people who died when a fire consumed the ICU ward of the hospital yesterday morning.
The other five who died in the fire were C. Neeramala Devi, Choo Lin Fong, 37, Toh Ah Wah, 60 and Yusuf Hasan, 53.
