IPOH: In conjunction with the birthday of the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah on Nov 4, the Perak state awards ceremony will be held this Saturday.
State Secretary Datuk Seri Abdul Puhat Mat Nayan said in a statement today, the event is one of the highlights among the many celebrations planned and it will be held at Istana Iskandariah, Kuala Kangsar.
“The state government has set up several programmes involving all districts to enliven the celebrations.
“The Sultan and his consort, Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim will also attend several events,” he said.
Abdul Puhat added that the celebrations will begin tomorrow with two programmes. The first is a thanksgiving ceremony and prayers at Masjid Ubudiah, Kuala Kangsar at noon and the second, a meet-the-people session at Persisiran Sayong, Kuala Kangsar at 4.30pm.
On Nov 13, Rio Paralympics medal winners Mohamad Ridzuan Mohamad Puzi, Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli, Abdul Latif Romly and Siti Noor Radiah Ismail, are expected at the Larian Hari Keputeraan, which will be held at Dataran Pavilion in Kuala Kangsar.
Some 5,000 participants will be taking part across four categories including a VVIP run.
