Domestic Trade minister quashes rumours of LPG price increase

BATU KURAU: Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin has dismissed suggestions that the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) will be increased.

He was responding to rumours circulating on social media that the price of LPG will be raised by RM7 per cylinder (the current price is about RM26 for 14kg).

"Spreading rumours on the Internet is an irresponsible act that has caused confusion among consumers.

“I will be lodging a report on the matter.

"Members of the public should (first verify issues) with the ministry," he told reporters after attending an event here.
