Tampin cops recover stolen car in less than 24 hours

TAMPIN: In less than 24 hours, police have recovered a Proton Savvy, which was reported stolen at Taman Woon here, last night.

District police chief Superintendent Hamazah Ab Razak said the car was found abandoned at Taman Batu Belang at 8.50am today, about three kilometres from where it was last seen.

“Our patrol unit team spotted the car at the area, after a report was lodged by the car owner, a 20-year-old Malay girl last night,” said Hamazah.

He added that the vehicle then taken to the Tampin district police headquarters for further inspections.

“With the help of the public, we manage to recover the stolen car in less than 24 hours. We hope this cooperation between the public and police will be continue in future.” he said.
