Sri Hartamas exit on Sprint Highway closed after sinkhole find, repairs underway

KUALA LUMPUR: The exit to Sri Hartamas from Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP) and North Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) has been temporarily closed to traffic following the discovery of a sinkhole at the area.

The Sprint’s highway concessionaire, Lingkaran Trans Kota Holdings Bhd's (Litrak) said the area had been temporarily closed since 6.25am to make way for repair works to commence.

Litrak, via Twitter reportedly said that the repair works are currently underway and the slip road is expected to be reopened by this evening.

"As of now, traffic will be diverted to make a U-turn at the Maarof Interchange. Motorists should then follow the signage to get back to Intan, Sri Hartamas, Jalan Duta or the city centre.

Meanwhile, motorists from Kepong, Penchala, Damansara or Bandar Utama, are advised to use the Penchala Link to head towards Hartamas, Intan or Kiara.

Motorists are advised to adhere to the signage and traffic operators on duty.

Checks at 2pm showed that the road is still sealed off and highway personnel were spotted carrying out repair works at the affected area.
