KUALA LUMPUR: Nasim Sdn Bhd, the official distributor for Peugeot cars in Malaysia, has revealed plans to introduce five new models next year.
“In 2017, key models such as the 208 PureTech, 2008 SUV PureTech, all-new 3008 SUV, Traveller and all-new 5008 SUV will continue to strengthen Peugeot’s aspiration to deliver an innovative driving experience to its customers,” said Naza Corporation Holdings Sdn Bhd automotive group chief operating officer Datuk Samson Anand George in his speech at the annual media appreciation night.
Peugeot Malaysia displayed the 2008 SUV PureTech and 208 PureTech at the event, both running on the award-winning PureTech engine. The engine is the winner of the 2015 and 2016 “International Engine of the Year” award.
The PureTech engine is the best in class when it comes to fuel efficiency with 4.2 litre for every 100km while churning out 205Nm of torque as early as 1,500rpm.
Samson said despite this year being challenging for the automotive industry, Peugeot Malaysia had successfully launched its Peugeot 408 e-THP.
“The model has received positive response from the public and Peugeot Malaysia aims to build on this success with more exciting models in 2017,” he said.
He added that Nasim had announced an investment of RM5 million this year to improve on customer satisfaction.
“This is a testament of Peugeot’s promise towards refining their customer service through the implementation of various services for customers. These services include setting up a new technical centre, a body and paint centre as well as offering three years of roadside assistance at no charge,” he said.
Samson also said Peugeot’s outlook for next year is positive.
“We are gearing up to be bigger and better in terms of our offerings as well as services to our customers. As our customer base continues to grow, we are more committed than ever to delivering excellent after-sales services to enhance the customer experience,” he added.
