JERANTUT: The father of Pas deputy president, Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, died of heart complications this afternoon.
Tuan Man Tuan Mat, 83, passed away at about 12.30pm at the Jerantut hospital here.
He leaves behind a wife, 10 children and 50 grandchildren.
Tuan Ibrahim said his father was admitted to the hospital at about 5.30am today after complaining of breathing difficulties.
"He appeared a little better after receiving treatment and I managed to speak to him. Arrangements were being made to take him to the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah hospital in Temerloh at about noon, but he appeared very weak.
"He went into a coma and passed away some 30 minutes later," he said, adding that his father's remains were buried at the Kampung Batu Balai Muslim cemetery here at about 5pm.
