Terengganu declared flood-free

KUALA TERENGGANU: The last batch of flood evacuees, 78 people from 20 families in SK Durian Mentangau were allowed to return home this evening.

The relief centre in Dungun was officially closed at 3.45pm.

State Flood Watch portal http://etindakan.terengganu.gov.my/ reported that with the closure of the sole relief centre, Terengganu is now declared free from floods.

State police chief Datuk Rosli Ab Rahman will lead a team of policemen from the Kuala Terengganu police contingent to Pulau Redang for a cleaning task tomorrow.

It was learnt that Rosli with his group will be helping with the cleaning up task at SK Pulau Redang which was affected by floods several days ago.
