ARGENTINE Mario Gomez has resigned as Johor Darul Ta’zim coach. The club had announced this on their Johor Southern Tigers Facebook account yesterday.
Gomez is remembered for guiding Darul Ta’zim to victories in the AFC Cup (2016), Super League (2015 and 2016) and Charity Shield (2016).
“Darul Ta’zim and Gomez have agreed to part ways. The decision was made as the club’s philosophy and direction are paramount to anything else.
“We thank Gomez for all his contributions to the club. He took the club to new heights in the game. We hope the best for him,” said Darul Ta’zim president Tunku Tun Aminah Sultan Ibrahim.
