BSN to create 'one millionaire a month' this year via Premium Savings Certificate special draw

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Simpanan Nasional is about to create one millionaire each month this year, thanks to its new campaign, ‘RM12 million, 12 millionaires, 12 months’.

Those holding BSN’s Premium Savings Certificate (BSN SSP) will be entitled to participate in a monthly Special Draw, which offers a whopping RM1 million to each lucky winner, from now until December.

Those holding BSN SSPs, with a minimum deposit or balance of RM3,000, are eligible to participate and be listed in the draw.

Only one person will be eligible to the RM1 million BSN SSP prize each month.

Certificate holders who save a minimum of RM10 in their accounts are also entitled to win either a BMW or Mercedes Benz through the Monthly Draw category.

The BMW models up for grabs include the BMW 318i and BMW 330e (Hybrid), while the Mercedes Benz models include the C200 and GLC.

In addition to the Special and Monthly Draws, BSN is also continuing its Junior Draw for teens, aged between 12 to 17.

The Junior Draw is divided into two categories; Special and Normal. The Normal category will require a minimum savings of RM50, where a prizes comprising 15 iPhone 7 units await the winners each month. Teens eligible for the Special category, with a minimum savings of RM1,000, will be entitled to win RM10,000 in the monthly draw.

However, the BSN SSP terms and conditions stipulate that the winner of the Junior Draw Special category will not be able to withdraw the monetary reward until they reach 18-years old.

This is to ensure they can utilise the funds to further their studies.

However, teenagers who have more than RM3,000 in their savings are automatically eligible for the Special Draw category, making them possible millionaire candidates.

BSN said the total value of the prizes offered year is worth RM17.7 million.

Special key features of the BSN SSP includes the fact that it is syariah compliant – based on the Syariah Mudharabah contract; rewards are exempted from tax; and there are various channels for BSN SSP savings such as via its branches, ATM, CDM, agent banks (EB BSN), MyBSN Internet banking and SMS services.

There are also have various modes of savings including cash, cheques, BSN credit card, debiting, standing instructions, funds transfer as well as salary deduction.
