KUANG: IT IS without doubt that infrastructure development can make a project located far away from the Kuala Lumpur city centre look attractive.

Last week saw the opening of a new access road at the Kuang Sistem interchange at the North-South Expressway (NSE), which will cut travel time from Kuala Lumpur to Kundang in northern Selangor by about 10km.

With a gross development value (GDV) of more than RM10 billion, the project will be developed over 15 years.
Phase 1 is targeted for launch after the Chinese New Year. It will consist of double-storey terraced houses.
Gamuda Land executive director Datuk Abdul Sahak Safi said the new access road would boost the attractiveness of Gamuda Gardens, which is located right at the intersection of Kuala Lumpur-Kuala Selangor Expressway, NSE and Guthrie Corridor Expressway.

Abdul Sahak said Gamuda Land was in the midst of planning for a city centre within Gamuda Gardens to offer various retail, business and commercial hubs.
This, he said, was expected to boost the growth of the entire north Selangor area.
