THE Musical Journey of Zainalabidin — 35th Anniversary Concert celebrates three decades of Zainal Abidin’s involvement in the entertainment industry.
It will showcase his musical journey that began as a 15-year-old singer in a small band, his breakthrough into mainstream music with Headwind, and finally, his celebrated solo career.
The 2½-hour concert will be backed by some of the biggest names in the music industry such as Mac Chew, Jenny Chin, Andy Peterson, Aji and Steve Thornton.
Musically directed by Zainal himself, the concert is his way of celebrating the immense support he has received from loyal fans.
Aptly titled his Musical Journey, each song has been carefully selected to express and spread Zainal’s message of love and care for Mother Nature.
Fans will get to hear classic tunes such as Hijau, Orak Arek, Puteri, Bongkar, Kau Di Hatiku, Debu Liar and Damai.
The concert will also showcase Headwind, the band that gave Zainal his breakthrough in the music industry.
Zainal, Zulkif, Nicky Ooi, Kudin and Razak will share the stage and relive their golden days with songs such as Suraya, Kita Serupa, and Hanya Di Radio.
