LUNDU: The master plan to develop Tanjong Datu has been formulated and executed way before a by-election was called at the constituency.
Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Abang Openg said development programmes for the constituency were already initiated when his predecessor, the late Tan Sri Adenan Satem, was in office.
Abang Johari, who is also the state Tourism Minister, said the state government will continue with its efforts to transform Tanjong Datu into a tourism hotspot.
“The state government had planned for the projects to be developed here a long time ago. It is not because of by-election.
“These developments were also planned during the administration of our late chief minister (Adenan).
“The plan is in place and we are now moving forward,” said Abang Johari at the Kampung Lundu housing expansion programme launching ceremony today.
